Bristol Festival of Puppetry Blog – An Introduction

We decided to start this blog as a way of sharing our thoughts and musings with you as we go into the final few weeks of preparation for the Festival. We’ll introduce you to the companies and the Festival team along the way. I strongly suspect there will be some late night ramblings and nonsense as well. Once the Festival starts we will be posting features, reviews, photos. In the meantime if you want to check out what’s on, http://www.puppetplace.org/festival is your best bet.

  1. Hi guys,
We are trying desperately to contact you. My partner and I are flying in from the USA to attend your festival. We have not yet had any responses from email or Facebook. We need to know where in Bristol this is happening so that we can book a hotel in walking distance – we are arriving at Heathrow and getting the train in. We have never been to Bristol and don’t know anything about the place. Your website isn’t giving any details about where this all happens. Can you please email me and let us know as soon as possible as hotel prices are rising daily.
We also emailed many months ago about the possibility of participating in the festival or a Slam, but also didn’t hear back. However since then you have added a Slam to the agenda.
    Thanks!

    • Hello.

      The website address is http://www.puppetplace.org/festival
Email me on info@puppetplace.org and we’ll send you directions and hotel information
The Slam is just for South West/UK based acts. All our call outs have been put on the website and well advertised. Sorry you missed them.
Also, I don’t think I got your emails or FB messages, we’re usually fairly prompt and good at checking.
      Try again info@puppetplace.org
Tickets go on general sale on 2 August, how to buy them is all on the website
I’ll keep an eye out for your email

      Cheers
      Rachel

      • Thanks Rachel

I’ll be sending an email shortly – every other time I tried to get to the festival website it took me to a paper puppet challenge page, and that was all I could access. I use mobile devices, I wonder if some of the content is hidden?
        Anyway, email coming, thanks!
